we follow australian sizing which reflects age. for example, size 2 is designed to fit a two year old. if your child is average for their age then size 2 will be the correct fit.
if your child is a bigger fit than most children their age, consider this and upsize.
these are true to size. if your child is size 2 then size 2 will fit correctly. rashguards are better worn snug and will drag through the water if they are too big, making it difficult to swim. rashguards have extra length in the body to ensure bellies don't pop out and see the sun. do not upsize for extra length.
these are a smallish fit. if your child has a bootie or a big belly upsize. keep in mind that boys often have smaller bottoms than girls. if in doubt upside, our briefs have a drawstring for this reason.
these are true to size. if your child is size 1 then size 1 will fit correctly.
last but not least
any swimwear that doesn't fit correctly can be returned or exchanged for another size.
this chart indicates the most suitable size for the corresponding body measurements (although age is often a better indicator than size charts). the size should fit body measurements averaging the indicated number.
